Excellent Reference June 17, 2009 L. Haines (San Anselmo, CA, USA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Excellent reference for those who have little knowledge of Auto Cad and want to learn it quickly. Step by step instructions as well as short cuts once you have mastered basics. Unlike many of the Auto Cad teachers I have encountered, the book does not pretend that learning Auto Cad is the functional equivalent of earning a Master's Degree in Computer Science. This book demystifies Auto Cad, and focuses on making you productive. You can ponder the cross pollenating connectedness of computer software operations on your own.
Great Book August 23, 2009 S. Cole (Memphis) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the best book I have seen for the beginner. Everything is very detailed in the sequence of commands and well indexed for those emergency moments. I have recommended it to everyone in my class. It is just a great reference!

Great book and easy to follow compared to other reference books for AutoCad. Very detailed w/o confusing a novice. It has detailed step by step directions, but doesn't confuse you with an overload of information. I completed my AutoCad certification and have very basic knowledge about the program. Certification took me 3 months and the teacher went very quickly through topics in the class. Having this book and practicing at home is absolutely necessary to master AutoCad. This book is perfect for someone who has little exposure to AutoCad / Engineering tools and wants to take it to the next level. AutoCad is a fun program in general! I am not very tech savy when it comes to complicated computer programs so this book was perfect for me.
